Famous Colombian Vallenato singer Diomedes Diaz and his family have been hospitalized with pneumonia in the northern department of Cesar, newspaper El Tiempo reported Monday.
The singer was brought to a medical center in Valledupar on Monday morning, where his daughter and mother-in-law had already remained under observation since Saturday night.
The pneumonia developed when Diomedes returned to Valledupar following a visit to Bogota, said the singer’s representative Jose Zequeda.
Due to the illness, the Vallenato hero was forced to suspend recording his next album, and may have to postpone his tour to Venezuela scheduled for early July.
