Uruguay beat Colombia in World Cup qualifier

Colombia lost 3 – 1 to Uruguay Wednesday and lost almost all chance of qualifying for the 2010 South Africa World Cup soccer.

The Colombian team started strong in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo, but was set behind by the only first-half goal by forward Luis Suarez.

One players of first Uruguay, then Colombia were given a red card, so the teams played most of the second half of the game ten against ten.

Through an amazing goal by Medellin player Jackson Martinez, Colombia was able to get even, but could not stop the home team making two more goals in the last 15 minutes of the game.
