Uribe uses insults to deflect criticism: former Defense Minister

Mud being flung back and forth between ex-president Alvaro Uribe and his former defense minister continued Monday, with Silva responding to Uribe’s accusations of him being “useless” among other insults.

The former Defense Minister and current Colombian ambassador to the U.S. came back at Uribe in an opinion column published in newspaper El Tiempo, stating that the ex-president “instead of answering in an intellectual and political manner, Uribe chooses to insult.
