Uribe: FARC endorses pyramid protests

The FARC is endorsing the pyramid victims’ anti-government protests in
the southern Colombian Putumayo department, Colombian President Álvaro
Uribe says.

According to the president, the emerging of the pyramids is linked to terrorism.

“Announcements of the FARC are appearing pressuring the community on this subject. For this the National Police and the Army will not abandon this community and will confront the problems with all force,” the President said Saturday.

Uribe stated that “terrorists” are trying to gain strength from the situation. “One should ask where has all this money gone. How much has gone to drug trafficking, to the Narcofarc, to criminal gangs; inheritance of narco paramilitarism.”
