Up to 15 injured in Bogota jail fire

Up to 15 prisoners were injured in a fire in a Bogota jail, reported Colombian media Friday.

The fire allegedly occurred in southern Bogota’s La Picota National Prison during the course of a fight, when one inmate poured paint thinner on a mattress and set it alight.

RCN Radio reported that two inmates were being treated for first and second-degree burns, while another was being treated for a stab wound.

The number of reported injuries ranged from three to 15 in various news outlets.
