Tumaco is the lair of Aguilas Negras and Rastrojos: Uribe

Colombia Pacific port town Tumaco is the “lair” of drug gang ‘Los
Rastrojos’ and paramilitary group ‘Aguilas Negras’, President Alvaro
Uribe said on a visit to the town.

According to the country’s Head of State, the gangs have moved their operations from the more northern port of Buenaventura to Tumaco as a result of the Armed Forces’ success against paramilitary and drug gangs in the northern part of Colombia’s Pacific coast.

Uribe announced that he, his cabinet, the Armed Forces and US Ambassador William Brownfield will be signing an agreement on how to attack these two organizations and called on the judicial branch to help the security forces by sending arrested suspects to jail.
