Tolima lose to Huila, Pereira held by Pasto

Deportes Tolima allowed their nearest rivals to close in on their first
place with a 3-2 defeat at Atlético Huila, while Deportivo Pereira
failed to move into second place having been held to a goalless draw by
Deportivo Pasto. Not even twenty minutes had been played in Armenia when Atlético Huila had built a steady 3-0 lead with goals from Cominges (penalty), Alcazar and Guaza.

Arizala got one back for Tolima in the 65th minute and Marangoni converted a penalty ten minutes later, but Huila held on to their lead to take the points and climb a few positions.

Tolima now have a four-points advantage over Cali, Santa Fé and Deportivo Pereira.

Pereira could have moved into second place on Sunday but forgot to score at Pasto.

Millonarios travelled to Tunja to face Boyaca Chicó, and the home side ended up securing their fourth win of the season. Mera had put the guests ahead in the 50th minute but three minutes later things had been turned around through Palacios and Moreno.

Atlético Nacional and Junior Barranquilla held each other to a 1-1 draw in Medellín. Junior’s Hernández scored in the 28th minute but Moreno equalised for last year’s bi-champions in the 66th.

América de Cali inflicted more misery on last-placed Cúcuta and entered the top eight in the process. The only goal in Cali came from Parra in the 66th minute.

Deportes Quindío are only one spot away from the top eight following a 1-2 win at Envigado, near Mdellín. Rodas’ goal for the away side was cancelled out by Echavarria in the second half, but a very late goal from Santoya secured three valuable points for Quindío.
