Colombia’s Supreme Court authorized the extradition to the United States of drug lord Miguel Angel ‘The Twin’ Mejía Munera.
The country’s highest court sees no obstacles in the extradition of the former paramilitary chief and drug trafficker.
Miguel Angel and his twin brother Victor Mejía Munera led one of the most prominent drug trafficking organizations in the north west of Colombia. Police killed Victor just days before the arrest of the other remaining twin.
The U.S. Government had already requested the extradition as early as 2000.
