‘The Twin’ extradited to the US

Colombia extradited suspected drug trafficker Miguel Ángel ‘The Twin’ Mejía Múnera to the United States Wednesday.

Colombian authorities handed the alleged drug lord over to officials of the U.S. Drugs Enforcement Agency, who took him to the U.S.

‘The Twin’ will be trialed for drug trafficking in the U.S. nearly one year after his capture in the north of Colombia.

Former paramilitary Mejía and his twin brother formed drug trafficking gang ‘The Twins’ that according to Colombian authorities controlled much of the drug routes to Colombia’s Caribbean coast.

Miguel Ángel’s brother Victor Manuel was killed days before the arrest of the last remaining twin.
