Tarazá mayor arrested for parapolitics

Authorities arrested the mayor of Tarazá, Antioquia for his alleged links to paramilitaries.

Mayor Miguel Ángel Gómez García is suspected of having had relations with the extradited Cuco Vanoy’s Bloque Mineros, W Radio reported Wednesday.

Gómez will be taken to Bogotá where he will heard by a Human Right prosecutor.

Tarazá has long time been an important town for the production and the trafficking of cocaine.
