Still no OAS resolution about Colombia-Ecuador crisis (update)

During a long day of debating the issue the countries had made progress, but hadn’t been able to formulate a resolution acceptable for all parties. There is still “half a dozen issues to be solved OAS Secretary General José Miguel Insula said.

Colombia demands a greater Ecuadorian commitment to fighting drug trafficking and the rebels of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Ecuador wants the OAS to at least “renounce” Colombia’s military attack on Ecuadorian soil.
