State must guarantee meals for poor children

The new law affects some five million Colombian infants who currently have to survive with some degree of malnutrition and a lack of health care.Jaime Restrepo (Partido de la U), initiator of the law, explains that the government now must prioritize investing the obligatory 4 percent of the country’s GDP in infancy. The government had neglected to do so over the past few years.
