Spanish artist Melendi to bring flamenco, rock, rumba to Medellin

Spanish singer Melendi will be bringing his flamenco, rock and rumba influenced musical stylings to Medellin on October 19 for a live performance in the Teatro Metropolitano.

Melendi’s fusion of rock and flamenco has made him one of the most important composers and singers of latin music in recent years.

The heavily tattooed Spaniard will be promoting his fifth and most recent album “Volvamos a empezar,” in his current international tour of the same name. “Volvamos a empezar” gave Melendi the opportunity to further explore the rock influence behind his music, with popular tracks such as “Barbie de extrarradio” and “Mi Ley.”

The ex-football player turned musician will also be rocking out his classic tracks “Un Violinista en el tejado” and “Por amarte tanto.”

Tickets range from $30 to $60 and can be purchased at tuboleta.com.
