Sofia Vergara’s brother deported to Colombia

The younger brother of Modern Family star Sofia Vergara was deported to Colombia after being arrested 30 times, gossip website Radar Online reported Wednesday.

The real life of the bombshell from Barranquilla is becoming a soap opera after her younger brother Julio, who has a drug addiction, was deported to Colombia in May after his latest arrest in April.

The deportation comes after 34-year-old Julio was arrested 30 times in last 10 years according to Miami-Dade County Court information.

The star moved her mother, sister and Julio to live with her in Miami in 1998 after her older brother Rafael was murdered in Bogota. It was in Miami that Julio picked up a drug habit.

He has been arrested for a litany of offences including drinking in public, assault and battery, petty larceny, marijuana possession, grand theft and cocaine possession.

Vergara said in an interview with Parade Magazine “With so many bad things happening, it creates a tough skin. You have to just take a deep breath and keep going.”
