Shock Music Awards to take place in Bogota, Nov 2

Colombia’s most important music awards ceremony, the Shock Music Awards, will take place on November 2 in the country’s capital city, Bogota, according to entertainment site shock.com.

The flashy event will be hosted by gorgeous Colombian model Carolina Guerra, who will be heading the event for the third time. The leggy brunette will be joined by two guest speakers, to be announced during the week of the event.

The 10th annual Shock Music Awards will be held at the Palacio de los Deportes and will feature live performances by some of Colombia’s best musical talents. Bands such as ChocQuibTown, Sidestepper, Golpe a Golpe, Reykon and J. Alvarez will be taking to the stage at the event.

The event is set to honor the best artists on the Colombian music scene with 31 categories and prizes in all musical genres.

The Shock Awards are hoping that Colombians will vote en masse for their favourite artists, with voting open until October 30.

In the three major award categories the artists who have so far received the most nominations are Santiago Cruz, J. Balvin and Golpe a Golpe.

Reggaeton super star and heartthrob, J Balvin, is currently leading the nominations with potential wins for artist or group of the year, best song for radio and best urban artist.
