Shakira turns Bogota gig into minifestival

Colombia’s most famous singer Shakira has turned her home country gig in March into a seven-hour mini festival for the whole family.

According to concert organizer Evenpro, the show that is part of Shakira’s “Sale El Sol” world tour in Colombia be renamed to “Shakira and the Pop Festival” and will feature U.S. band Train, Mexican synth-pop trio Belanova, Colombian dance-act Bomba Estero and of course Shakira herself.

In a press release, Evenpro says the show is meant to be a “once in a lifetime experience” and aims to offer entertainment for the whole family. For this reason, children over seven years old are welcome (when accompanied by an adult) and the festival in Bogota’s Parque Simon Bolivar will begin at 1PM.

The Shakira gig will be on March 12. Tickets are available online.
