Shakira and Juanes donated personal items to help the Colombian Red Cross raise money for the victims of the country’s harsh rainy season, Semana reports.
Shakira donated the harmonica she used in her music video “Gypsy” and Juanes donated his jacked that he wore at the opening concert of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The items will be up for auction in Bogota and all proceeds will go to the Colombian Red Cross’ campaign, “Dar por Colombia hoy” (Give to Colombia Today).
The prolonged winter season has left more than 1.3 million people homeless, affected 28 out of 32 departments, and destroyed 1,750 homes.
