An artisanal producer is inviting sausage and wine lovers to come and taste his wares at a festival in Santa Elena, a village just outside Medellin.

Patrick Collins, who produces a range of organic fruit wines and English-style sausages, is offering an all-you-can-eat-and-drink package for just COP 25.000 on Saturday.

Guests can enjoy a full-bodied red blackberry wine, a light crisp strawberry rose, and a dry white made from uchuva, also known as the Peruvian ground cherry or the South African gooseberry. All are made from locally-grown fruit.

Spiced apple and leek, and sage sausages, alongside homemade bread and a vegetarian option of chickpea curry, will be served alongside the drinks.

Collins said he hoped the low price would attract people “to come and get to know the wine, have a good time and meet some new people.”
