Santos to evaluate administration’s performance

Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos on Sunday called a meeting of ministers for an evaluation of his administration’s performance.

All ministers are expected to visit Santos Monday in his holiday home 40 miles east of the capital Bogota, reported RCN Radio.

Santos called the meeting with an agenda of reviewing economy, decentralization, policy enforcement and to discuss details of the ongoing peace process with the country’s largest rebel group, the FARC.

The meeting comes a year before Colombia’s congressional elections and following tense weeks that were dominated by social unrest among coffee growers, sugar cane workers, teachers and truckers.
