Santos offers $1M reward for north-Colombia drug trafficker

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Wednesday raised the reward for the arrest of alleged drug trafficker “Megateo” to $1.1 million.

According to authorities, Victor Ramon Navarro, alias Megateo, is involved with the drug trafficking of several criminal groups in the northern Norte de Santander department and a member of the EPL, a guerrilla movement that largely demobilized in 1991.

The President announced the rise in reward in the city of Tibu in Norte de Santander where he announced several measures to improve the security situation in the border department.
