Panamanian salsa and Latin jazz singer Ruben Blades will have Colombians shaking their hips at a free concert in Colombia’s second largest city, Medellin.
The four-time Grammy Award-winning singer, known for his hit “Patria” (Fatherland) which is considered to be Panama’s second national anthem, is expected to draw 80,000 spectators, said May for Life program director, Juan Mosquera in a report from newspaper El Tiempo.
His concert will be a key event in Medellin’s 36-day campaign called, “May for Life” that begins April 25. May for Life intends to link NGOs, institutions and citizens in a campaign to promote non-violence.
The free “Master Life” concert is scheduled for May 25, on Calle San Juan in the center of the city.
