Roger Federer likes the taste of Colombian culture

It seemed Roger Federer took a shine to Colombian culture after the Swiss tennis sensation indulged in national cuisine and traditions during his recent visit.

The current ATP World Number 2 was in Colombia’s capital city of Bogota for an exhibition match with the France’s Joe Wilfred Tsonga. Federer beat the big-hitting Frenchman 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 on Saturday.

However it seems Federer will take away more than a victory from his trip to Colombia as afterwards he enjoyed some of the country’s famous delights such as the much-loved aguardiente, chorizo sausage and Colombia’s world-renowned coffee.

Federer was spotted in Bogota’s plush restaurant Andres Carne de Res on Saturday night where he enjoyed the restaurant’s fine selection of meats and its litany of alcoholic beverages.

Despite the restaurant’s reputation for dancing after dining Federer declined the invitation to hit the dance floor. Instead it was Tsonga, not fretting the day’s loss, who instead wowed fellow diners with some swift and sweet dance moves.

Seemingly not content with his fill of Colombian culture, it was also reported that the 17-time Grand Slam winner took home 10 kgs of Juan Valdez coffee for his friends and family.
