‘Vampire Woman’ to visit Bogota tattoo convention

The “Vampire Woman” will attend a tattoo convention in Colombia’s capital city on June 4.

Mary Jose Cristerna, a mother and fashion designer from Mexico, better known for her tattoos and extreme body modifications, including titanium horn implants on her forehead and fangs that give her a vampire-like appearance, will be at a Bogota tattoo convention over the weekend.

Cristerna began modifying her body at the age of 21, apparently after a troubling break-up with her husband. She is now remarried, works as a lawyer and is a proud mother of four, according to an interview she conducted with Caracol Radio.

The Vampire Woman travels the world attending events like the one in Bogota, on invitations from various businesses. Her goal is to spread the word about not being prejudiced as well as to hawk a Gothic clothing line she launched months back.

Those interested can see the Vampire Woman at the upcoming V International Tattoo Artists Convention in the Corferias convention center in the capital city.
