Queen tribute band to rock Bogota stage

Dr.Queen, considered one of the best Queen tribute bands in the world, will revive Freddie Mercury with performances in Colombia’s capital on July 13 and 14, Radio Sante Fe reported Thursday.

The popular Argentinian cover band, will play at Bogota’s Colsubsidio theater where just last February the band blew audiences away with its precise performace and dazzling energy.

The audience will be taken back to Queen’s spectacular performance at the Wembley stadium in 1986, with perfectly recreated showmanship replete with lights, costumes and onstage antics that echo those of the British rock icons, Radio Santa Fe reported.

Dr. Queen was formed in 2000 by Argentinian doctors who shared a passion for the beloved rock group. For Dr. Jorge Busseto, the band’s vocalist who bears an uncanny resemblance to his idol, performing was never a hobby. The Freddy Mercury look-a-like said he has always believed in the band’s goals to successfully spread Queen’s music around the globe.

The band will start its tenth European tour this summer.
