“Army members gave paramilitaries hitlist”

Demobilized paramilitary boss Ramón Isaza told prosecutors that members of
the Colombian army handed a list to his paramilitary group of seventy
persons that needed to be assassinated for alleged ties with the FARC.

Isaza, taking part in the country’s demobilization and exchanging a full confession and reparation of his victims for a reduced sentence, told the audience the 27 people the AUC murdered in La Esperanza, Antioquia were ordered dead by the army’s 4th brigade.

Family members of those killed in the massacre heard the warlord say the three main responsible for the killings, one of who was his son, are now dead.
