Prosecutor general to investigate El Tuso allegations

The Prosecutor General’s Office ordered an investigation of three politicians and two former security forces heads over claims by extradited AUC member Juan Carlos Sierra, alias “El Tuso” that he held meetings with these officials, El Espectador reported Sunday.

El Tuso has testified that he helped to finance the campaigns of Senator Mario Uribe and former congressman Oscar Arboleda.

The extradited paramilitary declared that he also financially supported former army commander, General Mario Montoya and former director of the highway police, Louis Alberto Moore.

El Tuso said that he met with Sergio Fajardo, former mayor of Medellin, along with Mario Uribe, in which they discussed an assassination plan against Fajardo.

Fajardo denies meeting with El Tuso, but admits meeting with Uribe.
