Presidential Advisor to be new ambassador to OAS

Colombia’s President Alvaro Uribe appointed current Presidential Adviser for Social Action, Luis Alfonso Hoyos, as new ambassador to the
Organization of American States (OAS).

Alfonso will replace Camilo Ospina, who resigned recently because of his alleged aspirations to become Colombia’s next Prosecutor General.

Ospina will continue to lead the Colombian diplomats in Washington until June 18.
