Former Colombia president Alvaro Uribe was embarrassed on Thursday after retweeting a pornographic post.

The digital mishap took place early in the morning when the now-senator retweeted a March 20 link to a video from an account called @ChicasLindasVip. The post contained an image of a nude young woman with a man behind her.

The retweet was deleted minutes later, and the conservative Uribe continued tweeting on political matters.

In a statement, the ex-president explained that his team is investigating how the unfortunate retweet occurred.

“They tell me it could be an application that posts those links automatically”, Mr. Uribe said in a message to Blu Radio, “but I don’t know.”

Malware applications can send messages automatically from infected computers or mobile devices.

Most commonly, the malware is installed by clicking on a malicious link in an email or on a website.
