Police seizes US$1.5 million at airport

Colombia’s Police captured a man at the Gustavo Rojas Pinilla airport in San Andres who tried to smuggle U.S.$ 1.5 million in four suitcases.

The Police discovered the money when analyzing passengers and cargo, RCN Radio reported Wednesday.

The smuggler was identified as Santana Edgar Alfonso Martinez, a Boyaca resident. He was on his way to Bogota.

The origin and destination of the money is still unknown.
