Police seize ton of cocaine in east Colombia

Colombia police seized a ton of high quality cocaine on the Magdalena Medio highway between the municipality of Puerto Boyaca in the Boyaca department and Cimitarra, Santander.

Police commander General Orlando Pineda said the drug haul was being transported in two dump trucks and was headed for Colombia’s northern Caribbean coast.

Authorities believe that the shipment belongs to Jesus Ovidio Isaza, alias “Roque,” the son of former paramilitary boss Ramon Isaza.

The drivers of the two trucks were arrested in the raid.
