Medellin police seize almost 10,000 lbs marijuana

Colombia’s Police said Monday they have seized almost 10,000 pounds of marijuana within three days in Medellin.

Four men were arrested as they attempted to smuggle a load of 5,000 pounds of the illicit drug in a truck carrying oranges.

In that operation, the police found more than 101 bales of marijuana, weighing approximately 5,597 pounds and with an estimated value of $1.69 million.

According to the police, the drugs were for the domestic consumption market and assumed to belong to Medellin crime lord “Sebastian.”
