Police destroyed 80 cocaine laboratories in eight days

Colombia’s National Police destroyed 80 cocaine refining laboratories
during the last week in several rural areas and in the port of Tumaco,
North East Colombia.

The discovery and the destruction of these drug processing centers was conducted as part of “Operation Dolphin” in the jungle region around Tumaco in the Nariño department, close to the border territory to Ecuador.

The Police also seized 44 tons of coca leaf, more than 17,000 liters of liquid and more than 20 tons of solid chemicals, terra.com reported Monday.

This Operation “will continue to break the chain of drug trafficking in this area of Colombia”, said Director of Anti-Narcotics of the Colombian Police, Colonel Francisco Patino.
