Police capture half a ton of ‘Los Rastrojos’ cocaine

Police confiscated half a ton of cocaine Thursday said to belong to the Colombian drug gang “Los Rastrojos,” reported El Espectador.

Authorities found 1,140 pounds of cocaine in Buenaventura in southern Colombia.

The cocaine was bound for Valencia in Spain where it would have sold for $22 million.

“Los Rastrojos” is one of Colombia’s larger drug cartels that specializes in trafficking drugs through Colombia’s Pacific coast. The group is led by brothers Javier Antonio and Luis Enrique Calle Serna.

On Monday, a leader of the group was killed by his own bodyguards.
