Paola Turbay admits to liking herself (photos/video)

Colombian actress Paola Turbay has flouted the celebrity convention of self-loathing and declared, “I like myself,” in an interview with Cromos magazine.

The revelation came in a no-compliments-barred article which itself challenged the frontier between journalism and public relations.

In a celebratory photo shoot, to mark the 41-year-old’s journey from Bogota beauty queen to screen star, Cromos declared, “Paola Turbay has no interest in hiding. Her face is a reflection of the fullness with which she walks. Her smile reveals her satisfaction.”

After listing the programs Turbay has appeared in, such as Californication, the Mentalist, and True Blood, lest anyone should forget, the aspirational publication captures her essence by pointing at her, “maturity and strong personality, charisma that flows through her pores with surprising ease, and doubtless talent.”

But before anyone gets carried away and starts worshiping her as a goddess, Turbay drops a normality bomb on proceedings with the confession, “I cannot resist a glass of Milo or a chocolate Jet.”

It’s good to see that, despite her millions, she’s still just one of us.
