Pablo Escobar to play for American soccer team

A 22-year-old Colombian with the unfortunate moniker of Pablo Escobar has been signed to U.S. soccer team the Kansas City Wizards.

The young man, who formerly played for Deportivo Cali, bears no relation to the infamous drug lord, reports USA Today.

Escobar, a central defender, played for rivals Deportivo Quindio in the Colombian first division before joining Cali.
