One Direction announces world tour, 1st stop: Colombia

British/Irish pop sensation One Direction announced Wednesday that Colombia will be the first stop of the boy band’s first world tour.

At a press conference at the Wembley Stadium in London, the pop stars announced to first tour Latin America before hitting Ireland and the U.K.

Niall Horan of the band said to be “very excited” about One Direction’s first stadium tour, dubbed the “Where We Are” tour.

The Colombian gig will be held at the El Campin stadium in the capital Bogota on April 25, 2014.

According to Colombian radio station W, One Direction’s concert will include performances of one local artist and two invitation artists.

Tickets to the Bogota show will be available on June 24.

One Direction became famous after taking part of the British version of the X factor in 2010.
