Ojos de Brujo to perform in Colombia

Spanish band Ojos de Brujo have confirmed they will perform two concerts in Colombia on February 19 and 20.

Spokesmen for the Teatro Libre announced Monday that the band will play two concerts – at the Botanical Gardens in Medellin on February 19 and then at the Auditorio Leon de Greiff in Bogota the following night.

The band’s latest album, ‘Aocaná’, was released in March this year, the lyrics for which were written primarily by female vocalist Marina Abad while the music was composed by DJ Panko and flamenco guitarist Ramon Gimenez.

Ojos de Brujo are famous for their heavy and original mixtures of flamenco, funk, hip hop and drum & bass and have achieved several successful collaborations with artists such as Asian Dub Foundation, Cyber and the composer Pepe Habichuela.

Shows are scheduled to start at 8PM. Tickets cost 70,000 pesos plus booking fee. Students and groups of more than 15 are eligible for a 40% discount.
