Obama and Uribe to possibly meet this week

Colombian President Alvaro Uribe will possibly visit his United
States counterpart Barack Obama in the White House, Colombia’s Foreign
Minister Jaime Bermudez said Monday.

Bermudez, trying hard for the two Heads of State to officially meet, told press agency AP that “the date is being coordinated with the White House to see what can be defined.”

According to the Foreign Minister, the high-level meeting was discussed by Uribe and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a meeting of the two Monday in El Salvador.
