No thank you for the music: Abba will NOT play Bogota

Colombian businessman German Arango announced Monday the sad news that, contrary to recent reports, international supergroup Abba will not be playing in Bogota after all, and that he had in fact booked an Abba-themed musical to play in the capital.

After Arango’s insistence last week that he had somehow succeeded in convincing the Swedish pop idols to play in the city’s Camel Club – and for a mere $500,000 – the businessman was this week forced to admit his mistake to disappointed fans.

Although the news that the group, who broke up some 20 years ago, would not be playing probably did not come as such a shock to their more dedicated fans.

So the 70s super troupers will not be making it to Colombia, but look out for the no-holds-barred tribute show, called “Abba: The Show,” which will be hitting Bogota in May.
