NH Hotels open first location in Colombia

NH Hotels opened their first location in Bogota, and expect to build another five hotels in Colombia in the medium term.

The new four-star Bogota-based hotel is named NH Bogota 93, for it’s location near Parque de la 93 – a popular place for drinks, dancing, and fun in the heart of the city. The hotel has contemporary architecture, 137 posh rooms distributed over eight floors, a gourmet restaurant, four conference rooms, a rooftop fitness center, spa, and solarium.

NH President Mariano Perez Claver personally attended the official opening of the brand’s first Colombian establishment.

Claver expressed confidence in their investment in Colombia, as well as Latin America in general, stating “unlike other economic cycles, the Americas seem to be immune to the negative effects that have hit the economies of the west.”

He explained that “Colombia is also a major tourist attraction because of the cultural diversity it offers, for this reason we expect to expand our business in the major cities in the country.”
