New Year’s Eve in Bogota: Colpatria

See in the new year with fireworks and music at the Colpatria tower in central Bogota.

Colombia’s tallest building on Calle 26 and Carrera 7 is the stage for the concert. With live music from stars including J Balvin, Rikarena and vallenato superstar Jean Carlos Centeno, the last hours are sure to be memorable.

The free mega-gig of reggaeton, merengue and vallenato music will start at 7PM but doors open at 5PM for the early birds.

If you arrive late, don’t worry. Big screens will ensure you don’t miss any of the on-stage action. Leave your watch at home because the counter will let you know when 2012 begins, and the big fireworks display will also be a helpful little clue.

The party of an expected 20,000 people keeps jumping until 3AM.

Unfortunately no children under-10 are allowed nor is any liquor .
