Neighbors attack innocent man in Bogota

A lynch mob attacked an innocent man in a case of mistaken identity in the central municipality of Soacha in Bogota, Caracol Radio reported.

According to the radio station, 50 people armed with sticks, rocks, and firearms assaulted and shot a man believed to be responsible for attacking women on bicycles in the neighborhood of Julio Flores.

The police were able to rescue the man and immediately transferred him to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which included a bullet wound to his leg.

SIJIN, Colombia’s special investigation unit, determined that the battered man was not responsible for attacking women in the neighborhood.
