Colombia’s Vice President Angelino Garzon on Sunday announced that his prostate cancer is in remission.
His announcement came shortly after attending an Easter mass at the Lord of Miracles [Senor de los Milagros] church in the country’s capital city, Bogota.
“The Javeriana University has told me that after 38 radiation [treatments] the possibly cancerous tumor disappeared and so they are varifying those exams. I give thanks to the Javeriana University and to God above for this recovery and having eliminated the prostate cancer,” stated Garzon.
The 66 year old was notified of a likely cancerous tumor during a motor recovery process last October, following his June 18 stroke that left him in a coma for several days.
