Miss Valle wins Miss Colombia 2010

Catalina Robayo, representative of the Valle del Cauca department, was crowned Miss Colombia 2010 on Monday.

The 21-year-old law student from the city of Cali won the final, against runner-up Miss Magdalena and second runner-up Miss Huila.

Miss Bogota and Miss Bolivar came fourth and fifth respectively.

After she was handed the crown by former Miss Colombia Natalia Navarro, Robayo thanked “God and the Virgin” for her victory as Colombia’s most beautiful woman. She will now start preparations to represent Colombia at the Miss Universe beauty pageant to be held in August.

The election of Miss Colombia was preceded by weeks of activities for all the candidates in the coastal city of Cartagena.
