Minister accuses officials of stealing information

Minister German Vargas Lleras said that a group of officials “apparently” stole valuable information from the government of the Magdalena department.

The interior and justice minister called for an investigation to establish who was responsible and what information was lost.

The robbery took place the day before newly appointed General Manuel Jose Bonett was reinstated as governor, El Espectador reported Thursday.

Bonett was appointed by President Santos after Governor Omar Diaz – Granados was dismissed Monday February 7 for mismanagement of government funds.
