Millonarios unable to surpass Nacional

Millonarios wasn’t able to walk away in Wednesday’s classic against
Atlético Nacional. The green team from Medellín kept their Bogotá
enemies from scoring and went home with one point.

Deportes Tolima hosted América de Cali, who had a rather complicated night. The first team played a Copa Sudamericana match at the same time, meaning that América had to send a group of reserves for their match in Ibagué.

Nevertheless, Tolima failed to take advantage and the league leaders were held to a goalless draw.

Santa Fé, second in the league, visited Envigado FC but the Bogotans couldn’t score either, with which they waste their chance of moving into first place.

Junior Barranquilla could have taken the top spot as well, but lost 2-1 to Deportivo Pereira. The home side’s goals came from Medina and Quintero, while Gutierrez scored Junior’s only goal.

Atlético Bucaramanga did themselves a great favor beating Once Caldas 3-1. The visitors from Manizales did take the lead through Nuñez but the hosts turned things around in the last twenty minutes with goals from Bonilla, Micolta and Sarmiento.

In the first match of the night, La Equidad had their troubles made worse by Deportivo Pasto, who took the points thanks to a single goal from Ramos in the 47th minute.

Independiente Medellín close in on the top eight with a 1-0 win over Atlético Huila. The only goal came from Quintero after just nine minutes.

Cúcuta Deportivo added another point to their account, leaving them with the highly disappointing amount of six from ten games. At Deportes Quindío, no goals were scored.
