Millonarios and La Equidad drew 2-2 in the first leg of the Colombian Liga Postobon semi finals on Saturday.
The first of two Bogota city derbies took place at Millonarios’ home ground, ‘El Campin’ stadium.
La Equidad drew first blood as Roberto Polo converted a penalty kick after 19 minutes, but the half ended 1-1 with Omar Rodriguez leveling the score three minutes before the break.
The visiting side again took the lead in the 73rd minute as Javier Araujo directed the ball past goalkeeper Nelson Ramos.
But the guests failed to defend their advantage, with Jhon Alex Cano conceding a second yellow card in the 83rd minute and Millonarios earning a penalty kick in added time.
Edison Toloza stepped up to take the spot kick and beat goalkeeper Novoa for a 2-2 final score.
The second leg is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8th, with La Equidad’s ‘El Techo’ stadium serving as venue for the encounter.
Atletico Nacional take on Deportes Tolima in the other semi final tie on Sunday.
