American jazz trio Medeski, Martin and Wood confirmed to be playing at Bogota’s 22nd International Jazz Festival in September.
The festival is organized by the capital city’s Teatro Libre and will also host U.S. gospel mammoths Blind Boys of Alabama, Jamaica-born pianist Monty Alexander, Dutch-Cuban Trio Ramon-Valle, Italian Ialsax Quartet, Cuban Habana Ensamble and Colombia’s own Atlantic Big Band.
Teatro Libre has organized its jazz festival since 1988 and considers itself one of the first and most prestigious jazz festivals in Latin America.
