Medellin to host youth reading event

Medellin will host the third annual Youth Reading Conference as part of the Municipal Reading Plan.

The gathering to promote reading will offer all participants a chance to explore the world of reading through many mediums: movies, music, workshops, graffiti, lectures, and of course, books. It also aims to incorporate new technologies as a means of enjoying different forms of literature.

Topics for this year’s event are death, memory, and their meanings.

This 24-hour nonstop event will take place at the San Lorenzo Cemetery on July 9-10 from 2PM Saturday to 2PM Sunday. The convention will be the culmination of Youth Week 2011.
