More than three thousand police and security agents will be on duty when Madonna comes to Colombia’s second city Medellin.
Medellin’s Mayor’s office has promised a heightened security scheme to maintain order in anticipation of two Madonna concerts next week. The “Queen of Pop” will be in town for performances on November 28 and 29.
The security setup is designed for maximum protection and mobility, according to the mayor.
Special buses will be available to take fans to Atanasio Giradot stadium on Thursday and Friday between 2.30PM and 6.30PM, which will be free of charge on presentation of a concert ticket. The city’s metro has also joined the campaign with the sale of 15,000 commemorative tickets that are good for two journeys.
